Yet another Stacks-Bowers website issue...

So, as we all have found out, when you track a lot in a Stacks-Bowers auction, the tracking goes away as soon as it sells.
After the frustration of having that happen for a few sales, I finally decided to print out my tracked lot list before the sale was over so I could go back and see what things sold for (seemed easier than trying to remember what lots they were when looking back through the catalog and the PRL).
Well...I have been checking their website every other day since the end of the sale and still no prices realed list. I have also tried looking up the lots by lot number, but to no avail.
Come on...two weeks after the sale and we still can not see what stuff sold for? How hard could it be to do the programing once to make each sale available as soon as it sells?
Once again I decided to consign a few items to the upcoming Americana sale, but I think it will be for the last time...
Too many reasons why things should be improved upon with their website and no progress being made.
Am I asking for too much? I don't think so...

<< <i>Do you mean the 11/04 sale? Because I see the hammer prices... >>
Without going through lot by lot...
I do a search by lot number and it will not come up.
Keets: Frustration with this website is not a strong enough word...

Found this on the website.
<< <i>How about their non-transparent reserves etc during an auction compared to HA.com's total transparency etc.! >>
I agree. It's irritating not to know what is and is not reserved.
<< <i>Prices Realized
Found this on the website. >>
Thanks, but the problem still remains...where was it and why is it so hard to find?
I talked to a Stacks employee today and even he said he couldn't find the prices realized on the website with out going through a back door for employees only.
Sorry...but this is unacceptable.

I want it now!! I want it now!! I want it now!!
What the hell is so important about this to even waste the time to come on here and vent??
Relax. Get over it. Coin collecting is supposed to be a hobby; a stress reliever.
Stack's is in the Stone Age, always has been, and relatively speaking, always will be.
Used to be, after a Stack's auction, you might get the list of prices realized in the mail three months later.
If you cannot lower your expectations and let it go, give up on Stack's.
<< <i>WAH!! WAH!! WAH!! >>
Not crying, just expressing my frustration and pointing out some of the things that need to change at Stacks...
<< <i>I want it now!! I want it now!! I want it now!! >>
This is a ludicrous statement, as I have waited a more than a reasonable time period for the information to be accessible on their web site.
<< <i>What the hell is so important about this to even waste the time to come on here and vent?? >>
Obviously you spend little time trying to bid on coins in their auctions and even less time here on the boards, as this place is where many collectors go to vent with their fellow coin collectors.

Oh I know this is not a life or death situation...and yes, this hobby is supposed to be relaxing and a stress reliever, however the current SB web site makes that impossible.

Regardless of the arguments you state, if a numismatic item I am looking for is being sold at their auction, I have to pursue it. I am not running after widgets that you can buy at any show or sale.
Lowering your expectations is stupid, when other companies find it possible to do a better job.
However, instead of just giving up on Stacks, why not be proactive and make your voice heard to try to make the system better? Seems to me to be a better course of action…
