The In Action cards were always my favorite when I was a kid. I decided a while back that I would try to get all of them in PSA 9. I did not realize at the time that there were so many low pop In Action cards. I finally did it. Now I am debating on if I should do the rest of the set.

<< <i>Congrats on the completion.n What were a few of the hardest to find graded PSA 9? >>
I'm guessing the Mays since you added it last? Please tell us more about this set and hopefully show some pics. Really well done!

There are a ton of these that are very tough in the highest grades. Barton, Vida Blue, McRae, too many to remember. And of course Aaron.

The Barton was very tough. Blue, Mays, Aaron, McRae and Foli were all tough and expensive.

The Mays was the last. I past on the last few on ebay because I did not like the card for whatever reason even though they were PSA 9's. I finally picked up the Mays from Larry Mayer and it is perfect.

<< <i>Well done! Many of the 1972 IA cards are very difficult to find in grade 9. How long were you working on it? >>
It took me 7 years.
I always thought Schaal was the toughest; but, it looks as if Barton is.
Not sure I would want to chase the entire set in 9 tho.
Congratulations.
I'm making the predictable request to see the Yaz from your set.
Nice accomplishment!
They call me "Pack the Ripper"
<< <i>Have you asked PSA to create a set for just the action cards? I've considered doing this for some early 80s hockey sets. >>
I asked PSA and they said no. This is annoying for me because I get contant e-mails from every auction site that has 1972 Topps cards because it shows me as needing all these cards in the set.

Here is the Barton.
My one pet peeve with the set? No McCovey in action. I always found that criminal!
