What is the largest "review" you have submitted to PSA?

And what was the outcome. I am going to do a 50 card one for this month's special.

Interesting question. I would like to hear people's answers as well. I have a potential 100+ review submission to send in myself.

Currently the most I have done at a time was about ten.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

Nice question and good timing. I'm wondering as well. I'm deciding between a 6 or 15 on a renewal since all would fall into the 100-500 bucket, the pricing and turnaround works well. I'm just not sure that I want to put 15 at risk. Part of me feels that they can be tough on reviews but if I've done my homework and send truly bumpable cards, that I may get a couple half point bumps, but that even if all were due a bump, they wouldn't all get one. But also feel like at some point sending too many for review sends the message that they don't do their jobs very well, and while they might throw a bone on a few, they may hammer on the others.

I've only done raw subs and crosses to date and prepping my reviews, so interested to hear from anyone who's done a large review sub.

Thanks for the question and replies.

    lil backdrop real quick.

I send in just about all of my cards in excess of a certain figure, considering how good the counterfeiters / slabs have gotten.

    a. allows me sleep at night.
    b. usually when someone sells you a gem card and see that you actually follow through easily and efficiently, you usually get 1st right of refusal on future deals. I do not claim to be an expert on psa slabs. I know the basics and maybe a tab more, but as with the art industry...even experts consult w/ other experts. same goes w/ drs, lawyers, etc.
    c. risk vs reward. I think reviews or worth it even if they come back the same...all it takes is 1.
    d. you have valid pedigree/paperwork showing the card, cert number, submission date etc. if and when it comes to resale. this sets the future owner minds at ease as well. win win.

but getting back to your question...

I have sent in several, but my highest sub for review was actually 7 cards. all psa 9's, yet one jumped to a gem. the value added to this one card has/would pay off 10 fold should it ever gets sold.
but please keep in mind, there's been tons of single card reviews that have come back the same...but then again I sleep at night because they are def legit and I have official paperwork.

I did a review sub of about 30 cards. Most came back the same, I think 2 bumped .5, and 3 bumped a grade. One dropped 2 grades when it was damaged during the review process.

    Mike,

Did they compensate you on the card that was downgraded? This may be a novice question, but if you send in a card for review and they decide to lower the grade for some reason, in a case where they didn't cause any damage to lower the grade, would they still compensate you the difference in grades? Since, you likely overpaid for a card based on the higher grade?

the review process only raises the grade or leaves it the same.

    Steve,

They made me whole for the value of the original card.
