Are there any players from the mid 1980's that are difficult signers?

I used to go to games here in Philly and down in Baltimore in the mid 1980's with various baseball cards and had players sign them on there way to the team bus after games. I am thinking of selling some on ebay and wanted to know if there were any players that may be worth a little more because they were tough signers. Now yes I know that if I have a card signed even multiples, he was not a tough signer. But what if I got lucky? Like when I was able to get Bobby Bonds on his rookie card. If I remember correctly, he was difficult.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I do remember reading in an old Beckett about a player who refused to sign Topps cards because he had religious objections against, of all things, Garbage Pail Kids. Don't remember who it was.
<< <i>Ricky Wright, a journeyman pitcher in the '80s, apparently refuses to sign Topps cards. There was an ebay auction in which his '87 went for a seemingly crazy $5100. (There is one currently with an opening bid of $800.) We had a thread about it last year. '87 Topps Wright

That's pretty crazy. Thanks for the link to the old thread! I hadn't seen that one before.

I hear his knock off shoes are way easier to obtain.

<< <i>At one point in my collecting career I attempted to put together a complete 86 Donruss Signed Set. I lost interest about half-way through, but I did manage to pick-up this one along the way............Still have the card along with the incomplete set.

That '86 DeSa is a real tough one to get, as he died 12/20/86.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Willie Wilson was very tough. He's now making up for it doing certified autos.
Bo Diaz wasn't the easiest sig to get, and he died young.
Mike Sharperson, Tim Crews, Steve Olin, and Gus Polidor weren't tough sigs, but they all died young.
Alejandro Pena was tough at the time, but became a lot easier years later when he became a coach.
Ivan Calderon was moderately tough at the time, and not only died quite a while ago, he had left the mainland U.S. after retirement and didn't do shows or TTM.
Reap the whirlwind.
