Grading 1872 Indian Head Cents

Hi, I acquired a group of Indian Head cents recently. Mostly f to AU. One coin is the 1872, a better date.
Is the word "Liberty" on the headband the best way to indicate amount of wear, or is it the Liberty, feathers and reverse combined on this issue? The reason I ask is that this coin has a price jump from VG to F and the strike looks kinda weak.
Thanks!!

myself i always look at what's already in holders or pro images to get a feel for grade

What lasvegasteddy said....you may be surprised at what some of the key date circ Indian cents holder at - but selling them
for say full VF money with a partial LIBERTY may be a little difficult, regardless what the holder says.
