NEWP: Hungary Charles VI Taler, Kremnitz Mint

I picked this one up to remind myself that I am still very much a Taler guy and the fact that this Hungariam Kremnitz mint type, doesn't come this nice. Picture courtesy of PCGS.

The Hungarian Kremnitz Mint type is generally of lesser quality and eye appeal due cruder strikes and wear. This one has the luster very few coins maintain.

Excellent piece. Its good to see the interest is still there. I was afraid we were going to have to rename 'taler universe' to 'zohars ancient wonders of the world'.

I am hoping more people collect these on the forum. Some have truly nice artistic design.

wow I missed this - what a fantastic Taler - crisp strike cool skin - I bet you can probably see it in a 65 holder easily.

Thanks Marc. This is still in transit. Never seen a Hungarian Charles VI in such condition. Will let you know once received. I fully trust dealer's opinion of this coin along with the PCGS assigned grade.

This just came in the mail a few minutes ago and... WOW. This is going ATS for crossover as I have never seen a 65 look this nice. I don't know what a 64+ means but this is a choice GEM given the benchmarks I have in my collection.

NGC don't offer plus grades, so you might be doing yourself a disservice if it doesn't cross at 65. Try crack out if you feel strongly about the grade. Or, a re-grade at PCGS. Or, wait and we can discuss at NYINC.

I am no grader yet this one is the nicest by far I have seen. NGC should be all over it. For the Kremnitz type its even more so. The European seller who sent it to PCGS thought so as well.

Regardless, I will bring to NYC. This thing speaks for itself and I am not being competitive here, just positively surprised.

Why would you want to crack and cross it altogether is beyond me.

I would keep it as is - its not like you are competing in having he highest graded example.

This one talk for itself.

Personally I believe its worth more in the holder its in now.
