TTM AUTOS

I've condensed my collection down to strictly unopened material but am considering starting to chase ttm autos. Did it as a kid in the 80's and always had good luck and enjoyed it. No big ticket items and really just figured I'd buy a blaster box and start mailing those cards out. Anyone have suggestions on a good website to look at for addresses and success rates? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • http://www.sportscollectors.net this one is probably the best, but have to pay a yearly fee

I used StarTiger.com when I was sending out a lot. A bit more expensive than other sites (~$35.00/yr) but well worth it. They have many non-sports addys as well.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

About 90% of prospects are good TTM. You can pick up large lots of Bowman base on eBay for cheap and then send c/o their minor league teams when they are assigned in the spring.
  • Agree with SCN. They are only $15/year, so not too bad.
  • Thanks everyone. Great sites looks like I will be busy. Appreciate the help.

Good luck! It's a great and inexpensive way to enjoy going to the mailbox. I've been mailing out to Brewers for the past 18 months, I just write letter while watching TV and mail out 15-20 at a time.

Post your scans once they start to trickle in!

KC - I too collected a lot of TTM autos in the '80's. Did you use this very handy tool back then?

  • No I didn't pick that one up. I just mailed to the teams. I would sit and type up letters. Mostly mid 80's when I was 12. Still have some letters I got back. Greg Swindell and Terry Steinbach both sent hand written letters back. Lots of good memories.
