Tonight myself and a friend hosted our first trade night here in Indy. We had about ten people come out, which was half of what we were expecting. We were satisfied with the turn out as it was our first one and he didn't know really what to expect. Everyone had a great time and walked away with free swag and packs. I picked up these three cards...the DiMaggio I'm particularly happy about. The other two are a Votto bat and Reggie patch.

Glad your friends and you had a fun time at your Trade Night. What, no packs for those 42 clamshells that are on their way to you? HAHAHAHAHA

Was Father Murphy there? That guy's like a ninja. Always coming up from the rear.

To each his own. I like them. And honestly it wasn't just about the cards. It was about hanging out with other peeps who share the same interests.

Congrats- you're the first CU poster to ever do to a pitch-perfect text impersonation of the wife from the State Farm commercial. They say everyone should die having done something, so I guess you're out of the woods!

That took me 2 reads. But then I got it.

If any of my pals collected, I would love to have a trading day and try to fill out my 1980 and 1981 Topps sets. If anyone on the NW side of Chicago has some ideas, let me know.

If you're serious? This is very disappointing. I thought you were better than that.

Thanx for sharing Chris.
Getting together - trading cards - sharing stories - as a hobby is just about the best feeling. Not better than sex but....
