Show me some Deer coins

I just picked up this one this week:

BRUTTIUM. Caulonia. Ca. 475-425 BC. AR stater (8.01 gm). Apollo advancing right, holding branch, small daimon running right on arm, stag standing right before, head reverted / Stag standing right, tall laurel branch before. HN Italy 2046. Noe 84. Toned with iridescence. NGC XF 5/5 - 3/5.



Bruttium makes up the lowest part of Italy, directly across from Sicily, it was conquered by the Greeks in the early 6th C. BC. The city of Croton in Bruttium is where Pythagoras lived.

Saw that one and thought that it was somewhat undergraded. Love the patina and overall design.

Well, none of my ancients have deer, but my 1974 Vatican L. 20 does. Per Krause, a "red deer." At least the legend on the obverse is in Latin.

I don't have any deer, stags, etc. on coins, but I almost hit a deer with my minivan tonight. Does that count? Our parking lot at work is crawlin' with 'em.
