SHOW OFF YOUR MICHAEL JORDAN CARDS RARE, ODD BALL OR BASIC

I'm a little surprised there is not a thread with people showing off their Michael Jordan cards. I've been a huge fan of Jordan since the mid 80's. My first ever NBA game I attended was in old Chicago Stadium in December 27th 1988, I saw the Bulls lose to the Cavs, but Michael dropped in 43 that night. Since then I've been a pretty big Jordan fan. Lets see your cards.
Here's a couple of mine
1986 Sports Illustrated test issue
1987 Entenmann's (The flip is incorrect)

<< <i>I used to love those posters. How was that SI sticker distributed? >>
I'm not really sure on how they were distributed, but I believe SI gave them to their sales people to give out to sporting good stores. I'm not 100% sure though. There has only been 7 MJ's graded.
<< <i>What does "ball near feet" mean on the second card? Imo it should be "ball near head" haha >>
Matt... It was mislabeled. You're right it should say "ball near head" There's another Entenmann's card of him dunking and the ball is near his feet.

<< <i>Does Entemann's still have a display case at the end of the aisle? >>
Why yes they do.

Whenever I go shopping, I grab one of their chocolate fudge cakes if I happen by the display. So good!

<< <i>I actually have two of this card now, but I don't see them often.
>>
I have one of those too. Except mine was stuck to a school folder in high school. I recently cut it off, peeled the folder off, printed the back to scale from one I found on the internet, and glued it to the back! So, my front is real, but the back is fake! Yours is much nicer!

I'll hop in with a few odd balls and lesser seen Jordan's.

<< <i>Lots of MJ action on the boards these days. Some very cool cards so far. Nice to see things other than the 86-87 Fleer!

I'm not too familiar with all the Jordan's out there, so what's special about the 91 Fleer?
I collect: 80’s Rookies and 86 Fleer Basketball
<< <i>The 91 Fleer was a pretty tough one to locate. It is actually a 3d Acrylic card that was available only through a wrapper redemption program. As you can imagine, not too many folks were ripping 91 fleer basketball and sending in the wrappers so not a lot of these are around. >>
Thanks for the info!
I subbed them about 20 years ago as PSA didn't do star.
The 2nd year was the highest grade CSA (pop 2) for quite a while.
These are real and came from an undisputed source.

<< <i>I have had this for years. Not sure what it is or who made it. There are no markings whatsoever. MJ is on one side and Emmitt Smith, Shaq, Gretzky and Nolan Ryan on the other. >>
Matt, I forgot you were a big Gretzky collector.

That's too bad, because I have authentic used Oksana Baiul laces and Surya Bonaly nylons, and I'd sell them to you at a great price.

A bit more on these cards--if memory serves me correct, it took wrappers AND money for one of these. I researched and it said it was 3 wrappers and $4.99. This was advertised on the wrapper so of course if someone sees one, you can confirm if that is accurate (I seemed to recall the $5 before I looked around), but the point is that I think packs were .50 at that time so getting one of these was not exactly cheap for those days. The other challenge appears to be that they were only made by request so if you want a Jordan, you will see "many" but for lesser players, you may never see one at all.
<< <i>I picked up the Jordan auto a few years back on ebay. I paid a premium for it.

I love the vintage jersey and signature on that piece!
<< <i>here's mine. really is the next jordan. this guy is good, hopefully he doesn't end up hanging out in backseats at perkins and waffle house parking lots... >>
Spieth is a beast. I hope to see a rivalry develop with Rory similar to Tiger/Phil. It would definitely help golf ratings.
I bought one at the National in Chicago in 1993 - always wanted to get it "slabbed"
Kiss me twice.....let's party.

for sure. and I think the pga and usga hope for that as well. golf numbers have plummeted in the past 5 or so years w/ tiger's run in...
there's a great seg on real sports that aired a few months ago and the rapid decline in numbers...
we need something to get the sport moving again and those 2 names you mentioned might be the ones to do it!
and good to see rory back again. funny what $250 mill will do to your golf swing....
