strange how preserved they can be in there
note to self...must keep eye out for these "penny in bottle" gismoes
if it wasn't for the hit behind his head and small one on his shoulder...darn thing to me would be a ms67rd in there

I used to have one with a 2000 penny I got from Lake George but it fell off my dresser and Broke.

Not a penny, but I remember someone posting a Gobrecht dollar inside a sealed glass globe.
I think a part of the story was that there was a bur inside the globe that had been scratching the coin for some time.

Really like you example, I wonder if it will tone differently due to the exposure of heat from the molten glass, as it was sealed in.

I used to have one as a child. After a few years the cork got lost, after a few more years the coin started to turn color. Not sure what happened to it.

My local dealer had a 1972 doubled die in a bottle that he picked up from the fun show a few years ago. Looked like a nice full read cent and was only asking $300

Being in the bottle I was worried about authenticity and a fairly new collector so I passed was still pretty cool looking
