What's the worst price you've ever seen on junk wax?

Today I was in a card shop where he had a box of 91 Bowman baseball for $105. When I questioned him on the price he said he was willing to knock it down to $85. I had to laugh. What's the worst you've seen?

What should that box sell for? I have no clue.

Jeez....was this an actual card shop or an antique mall kind of thing? I've seen super ridiculous prices this at antique malls/flea market type set-ups on many occasions.

Corollary question - what is the best price you've ever seen on junk wax?

I saw 1989 Donruss Wax boxes for $2 each.

    Free for hauling
  • No matter how many flea markets or antique stores I go into, there's always a box of junk wax from the first Batman movie with Michael Keaton that's selling for somewhere between $30-$50. I always laugh and my wife and I have created a contest to see who can find it first when we go to these places.

Actual card shop. I go there because he has the best selection of supplies I've ever seen. But his prices on cards are outrageous. $10 Yaz cards for $25, etc.

BEST price I've ever seen on junk wax was early 90s Pro Set hockey for $1 per box.

$11-25 delivered on eBay, no more than $10 w/o shipping.

You should have asked him if he had any interest in buying some cheap, for say $40 a box!!!
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

lol Maybe he's thinking 1992 Bowman.
  • I've seen 1990 Topps Hockey for $2/box but "junk wax" usually means $5/box to most which is fine as long as it's not too junky.
