Great card. I thought about getting one like it to be signed. Probably would have pulled the trigger if I thought a signing was a short-term possibility ... Enjoy!

Beautiful card that you got though! Great centering for a PSA 1! Such an iconic card!
Great looking for a 1. I sold a 2 a couple years ago that looked much worse than the 1 you bought.

Not here yet, I'll post a picture of the back when it is.
Happy with the price, too ($300).

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Charrigan, I saw that card, almost pulled the trigger (since it's a decent price) but it's a bit too oc for me.
<< <i>Purchased this beauty earlier. Now my second low grade, centered Gretzky.

That's a nice 3. Centering and corners are good.

I love these nicely centered low PSA Gretzky cards
So, my new collecting goal is to pickup as many nicely centered, low-grade, OPC Gretzky '79s that I can
<< <i>PSA 3 just arrived and here's a scan of the front and back. The crease looks like it's a factory issue, which doesn't take away from the overall eye-appeal of the card, especially in hand. Very pleased with this pickup.

Looks like you have about $500 invested in your Psa 1 and 3. Say you spend another $500 on low grade gretzky rookies to make it a total of $1,000 invested. Would you rather have those or say a nicely centered Psa 7?
No wrong answer as it's strictly collector preference.

Great question. I don't look at cards as investment, though it's nice to be able to make a little bit or break-even on a purchase.
I once owned a PSA 9 OPC Gretzky '79 and didn't need the full amount I sold it for. In this case, with multiples, I can sell a few, if I had to, and still have some.
This also satisfies my disorder, I mean desire, to HOARD.
