How is Kit Young?

Any experience buying complete sets from Kit Young? Just wondering how their advertised condition stands up against actual condition when received. Thanks for any info, Tom

yep. I've only done business in person, but my dad still uses 'em to this day. think they've been in business for 3 decades, so I imagine for good reason. I only recall one issue he had in about 20 years due to a shipping mistake but it was cleared right up and he was notified before his card even arrived, which to me says a ton!

bought a 1978 Topps baseball vending set...must have been 15+ years ago and the Ryan and Murray both graded a 9 back then.

Met him at one of the Nationals about 5 years ago and bought some cards from him. Was nice and personable.

I haven't had a lot of experience buying from Kit, but it was all very positive. He and his devoted staff grade pretty accurately, his prices are very fair, and I think he will be a good source for a lot of cards. He is extremely knowledgeable about cards and is very willing to share what he knows. A pioneer of the organized adult hobby, he's been at it for many years, and is still very approachable. Also, if you are a good guy kind of customer, everything should go hunky-dunky. If you are a difficult, extremely hard-to-please character, you will find problems with everyone you deal with. I'm not intimating anything about you of course, just to say that Kit and his people will do their best to please you, so long as it is not out of reason. Hope all goes very well for you. Take care. ----Indiana Jones (Brian Powell)

Glad to see Kit Young still around. I thought he retired from the hobby. Does he still do that show in Hawaii?
