Anyone have a website or article on how to pick out counterfit star basketball cards?

I'm thinking about investing in Jordan's from these sets or buying sealed sets. I would like to become more educated in them before I start investing. I'm thinking about buying the Bgs 9 #101 right now on ebay ($8999).

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best regards!

    I wish you luck.

I started collecting again two months ago and am nervous about buying some big ticket cards.
  • If the card is professionally graded, you pretty much have what would be the top experts telling you it's an authentic card. So no offense to anyone on these boards.... But none of us would be qualified over a pro grader who was actually trained! Congrats if you really do pull the trigger on that card, I can tell u now I'll be the first one jealous hahaha
  • I would call PSA before any big ticket purchase. Unfortunately, they won't confirm as much as I'd like with regard to who graded the card, etc. for privacy reasons, but it can never hurt to verify the cert. I'd be more worried someone was able to slab a counterfeit card themselves than that PSA missed a counterfeit.
