FSH or swap: 1782 Irish "Hibernia" halfpenny; interesting double-struck error

Has some microporosity, but this is not as bad looking in hand as the photos indicate. I may try to reimage it.

This is a fairly recent newp for me, but I don't think it is going to work in my Box of 20 set because there is a chance it might be a contemporary counterfeit.

See PCGS Forum discussion here.

NGC forum discussion is here.

If it is in fact a contemporary 18th century counterfeit, it is still quite collectible, but it just wouldn't be slabbable.

The seller I got it from was originally offering it at $299.99, but I got it for $229.65 with a Best Offer. I'm only asking my cost back out of it, plus enough to ship it. Let's say $235.00?

Or I will listen to interesting swap offers.

Whether it's worth what I am asking or not, I have no idea. It seemed worth 230 bucks to me. This is a pretty unique item, so firm pricing data is hard to come by.
