Any ideas?

Even though I'm out of the hobby for the most part, I still have some boxes of stuff that I set aside over the years in hope that I'd be able to research it at some later date. I got the urge to look through a box tonight and found this...no idea when or where I got it, although I'm guessing I put it away sometime after 2000 or so. This piece is about 16mm in diameter, 3mm thick, and quite heavy. It's dark, but using my fingernail I was able to put a scratch in the rim revealing a silvery color. I'm thinking maybe cast lead or tin or? There's no legend or date, just The dragon slayer on one side and the nine pellets on the other. There is what appears to be a dig or dent on the side with the pellets, but it doesn't appear that anything was attached there - I was thinking it may have been a button. Any ideas? Is this an attempt to copy something that is known? Thanks in advance for taking a look.

I dunno about it being a button, since it doesn't apear to show any traces of a shank.

However, I have my doubts that it was ever a coin, either.

It's an interesting doodad, for sure.

The motif is obviously St. George slaying the dragon.

Cast lead medieval token, perhaps? I dunno.

Looks like whatever was attached to the reverse broke off leaving that "dent on the side" of the pellet. I've seen metal buttons on dress coats that had a thin back piece attached at the rim. Is that a hole above the center pellet? Could be a button.
