New pics of old purchases (aka, fun with PSE)

In my playing around with my iPhone 6 camera, and with my existing setup, I realized that I can't really do nice pictures of colorful coins. So, I have acquire the pictures from other sources (usually the seller) and then run them through PS Elements. So, before I go to eat dim sum with my wife, I will show off some nice pictures:
The first coin is from West Friesland, 1764 3 Gulden (Dav-1853) that I during the CICF 2013 show. The colors on this coin is visually impactful, enhanced by the strong frosty cartwheel luster. And, it wasn't expensive.

The second coin is from Zurich, 1761 1/2 Taler (KM-146) that I also got from CICF 2013. The colors on this coin is soft, and seems to fit nicely with the satiny luster.

The third coin is a incredible Hogsmouth Taler, 1698 Hall mint (Dav-3245) that I got from the NYINC 2012 show. This was my first gem taler; amazing how the coin itself can be so beautiful despite the portraiture...
.jpg)
The fourth and final coin is from Saxony, 1627-HI 1/2 Taler (KM-389) that I got from the CICF 2012 show. I paid a stronger price for this than I expected, but it's a tough denomination to find so nice.

I hope you enjoyed the pretty pictures.

You need to use learn the rotate tool, but we can all tilt our heads in the mean time.
<< <i>Nice stuff! I like the Saxony 1/2 Thaler best.

Thanks. I like the Saxony 1/2T best of the bunch too, even though it has the lowest slabbed grade. It's the second most expensive piece of this grouping.
Btw, I do know how to use the rotate tool. I just forgot to rotate them a bit because I was rushing.

When the picture of that loaded, it was nicer than I had expected, with that warm glow of the fields setting off the devices so nicely.
However, I'd be hard-pressed to choose between that one and the amazing Zurich cityview.
Lucky for you, you have them both.
All four would certainly meet my standards.
yup and right up my alley - a LIKE from me too!
<< <i>Choice stuff EVP - you have a good eye for pleasing patinas.

Thanks for the comments.
I have to admit, though, that not all my coins have such pleasing patina. Like most of us, I have a lot of coins and some are very special and worthy of being in my collection even if they aren't nicely patinated (either with nice color or pleasing cabinet-like toning or some such).
I have been spending much time doing images lately, and hope to be putting more up soon. But, please be forgiving for their uneven look and also that I'm using my iPhone 6 aided by PSE. As I wrote earlier, I know that I'll need a few professionally done to get their beauty shots. Or, find a way to drown a coin with a lot of light to pick up their colors.

<< <i>BTW - these are fairly impressive pics considering that fact that they were taken on an iphone. Apple has come a long way in recent years in the quality of the camera phone. >>
True that the iPhone camera has come a long way, but these weren't from an iPhone.

The thread is all about PSE (and decrying my setup).

They look very good IMO and have a uniform quality. In other words they go together very well IMO like they were all taken by the same person at the same time. Excellent job editing on your part, if this was not the case.
