Why all the big time collections coming to market?

So with all the news about all these big time collections coming to market - can we speculate why these collectors are selling? Its amazing that these 30 year or so collections all hit us in just a few years - can all us collectors handle or absorb these big time collections?

There's another thread discussing this, but the reply that sticks in my head is that one of the sellers is 103. So when would it be a good time for him to sell?

Sad to hear why these collectors are selling for those reasons - but I guess us collectors need to step to the plate and add them to our sets. I guess this is the changing of the guards?
