It does happen from time to time. Try reaching out to customer service. They are very nice.

Yes. During the summer I purchased a raw '68 Bench rookie that I submitted and believed it was a strong 8 with perfect centering. I received it back and it graded a 6 with a new dinged lower left corner. I ended up selling the card to a local dealer who sold the card on eBay. Coincidentally, DM23HOF recently posted the same '68 Bench that he purchased and had it upgraded to a 7. Apparently he had better luck with the card than I did.

If you have any luck with customer service, please let me know. I was under the impression that nothing can be done.

Many years ago I pulled a 93 sp jeter and it was absolutely gorgeous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    PSA 10 perfect.......I put it directly into a CS1

Months and months went by after I subbed to PSA.

They told me three times the order was complete and had shipped. Still nothing.

Finally after my who knows how many calls...they admitted they had dropped the card and Had bent a corner.

Gave me the going rate of $75 for the card. Oh and the cards still sere not shipped.

Apparently they were afraid to tell me about the Jeter

Unless it happens on a review, there is really nothing you can do with raw submission damage. I lost
a high-end 1965 Stargell that way. It came back as a PSA 4 due to fresh border scraping that was not
present when it was sent in (as OCD as I am about condition, everyone who knows me would tell you
that I would never waste the effort submitting a card that was so obviously damaged).

When it does happen on a review, the word is that PSA's insurance will cover you for what you
paid for the card. However, I have been advised that you need to be polite in dealing with the situation.
Surprisingly, something said by an upset collector in the heat of the moment can have some unanticipated
adverse consequences with regard to still be able to submit cards and being a member of the forum.

That kind of situation is really is something I think PSA could have a bit thicker skin on, and be a bit more understanding about.

If a 1 of 1 autograph was submitted and met such a fate, accidental damage by a grading company, how would they ascertain replacement value being it was obtained from a pack and a 1 of 1?
