Contacting Klinger83...

I know lots of board members have bought from him, and wondering if anyone has his contact info they can PM to me.
Tried calling the ebay monkeys in New Delhi, but got the runaround for 45 minutes and gave up.
I have a few orders of many cards (both graded and ungraded) that he hasn't mailed. It's been 3 weeks on some. I noticed he has 60 neg FBs over the past month for not mailing cards or sending the wrong ones. And I'm sure for every buyer who has left negatives, there are 2-3 more dissatisfied buyers (like me) who havent left FB.
I think he is in over his head. Seems he likes the money that his set breaks generate, but doesn't like to be bothered with matters such as mailing cards out.
And yes, I have tried email. He doesn't do email, apparently.
I know I can file claim through ebay and go through channels, but a phone call might work better.
If anyone can help, please PM
Thanks

I don't know him at all, but all of that indicates something unforeseen and non-hobby-related has happened to him. Hopefully he is okay.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !

Any luck on contacting him? I'm in the same boat too.

  • I can confirm that Jeff has fallen very ill right now. This is a serious situation, his family is trying to rectify and order his affairs. If there are any messages of a business or personal nature that you would like me to pass on, please let me know. He has been a trusted fixture on e-bay for many years. This is sad news.

I've heard the same thing in a couple PMs, so thank you to those who let me know.
I'll let it go for now and wish him the best

guess i can't stay mad over that crease anymore.

peace be with a kindred spirit. here was a person who helped fill in a lot of blanks on wish lists. may he be remembered well.
  • Sad to hear this. The first thing I thought about when you said he had received numerous negs is that he was terribly ill or had passed away.

So sad to hear. I know I had a few successful deals with him many years ago. Does anyone know how old he was? May he rest in peace.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Sad news about Jeff Kling. I had many dealings with him and he was always professional. Our hobby is so insignificant compared to real life.

    Edited to add obit:

His wife said via ebay message system that the family will be making attempts to ship all of his outstanding orders to those who have not yet received refunds, after the funeral.

Unbelievably sad. I can't even put into words how sorry I am for his family. May God be with you.

Very sad news. We've lost a lot of hobbyists in recent months, many in their 40s. It makes me cherish every day even more.

Very powerful story. Thanks for sharing that, Dave.

The voice told him to do three things: "To love me with all your heart and all your soul. I want you to love everyone here on earth. And then, tell your story."

Sounds like God definitely spoke to Jeff since this is exactly what the Bible tells us that believers should be doing.

Such a sad loss, and our prayers go out to his family. I encourage everyone to read the story posted above - whether you believe or not. The difficult thing is that two people can be in rooms right next to one another with the same ailment, and even though both people pray and ask for help one person might live and the other person may not. It does not mean that God did not hear their prayer - just that he has a different plan for each of us. May God provide comfort and healing to his family during this time.

What a great testimony! I bought a lot of cards from Mr. Kling when building my sets, now I wish I'd bought more.

I hope you don't mind if I share a recent miracle with you all.

We have a friend (Janet) in our Bible study group who also was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, stage 4, had started on the skin on her arm and had spread to her bones and lungs.
She was in tears when she told us, the doctors saying she needed to decide if she wanted to try to extend her life a little with chemo.
We sat there stunned, trying to find the right prayer to say, when one of our members stood up and said no way, I don't accept the death sentence, it's not from God,
and we started to pray for healing. I mean praying like we never had before.

Janet had tests runs two weeks later and the doctor said the cancer is getting smaller, keep doing whatever you're doing.

Two weeks after that she had more tests run, and she was found to be cancer free. All of it gone. That was a year ago, and she's doing absolutely great.

Keep the faith, God's still on the throne.

I'm trying to remember him, and searched previous threads, but it says that his username is no longer valid?
