I would get it relabeled but whatever you do - DO NOT crack and resub.
<< <i>ill try to get a better pic on here....im not too familiar with the gray back variations...i did however recently open a pack of 1981 opc and all of the cards have a yellowish tint to the backs...this one is definately different with a grayish back...what would the difference in value be? >>
My guess, you may be able to triple your money on it!
<< <i>There is only 1 gray back 9 and it sold for $600. >>
Or more

You must send the seller restitution immediately!

<< <i>ok so ive looked at every scan and completed sale i can find on this card and the back of this one is indeed gray and not yellow like all the others...score! >>
Nice score!
And unlike the little old lady, Martin Sports, of all sellers, certainly should have known better, LOL!
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

<< <i>It does look like the gray back version. It would be easier to tell with a scan though.

I have a feeling I know why Tom is saying this?

In terms of the buy you are good on all levels.
First, you posted it and made no reference to the grey back and others did.
Second, it came from a card dealer so they are considered an expert and should know better and it is perfectly acceptable for their loss to be your gain.
Third, the profit was in a range of acceptability. It was only $500 so not the end of the world. I mean had it been a little higher we are entering the unfair zone.
ETA: Great card! Congrats on the score it's a beauty.
<< <i>no offense taken here...i was wondering the same thing, lol...i know some folks around here enjoy the art of s*** stirring...thanks for the kind words !ive been a big ryan fan since i was a kid, so this one is particularly special to me >>
Growing up, I was and still am a huge Ryan fan. I still remember watching the infamous fight on cable tv at my grandmother's house LOL. I only see his cards appreciating in value as well, not only for what he's done on and off the field, but once he passes on (not to sound morbid). Your 81 OPC is my 1980 Topps once I find a truely nice one. I'm in the market, but the last couple that have popped (in a 10 grade), have been titled or off-center left to right. I want to snag one before it eventually doubles in price, but I want it to truely warrant the grade as yours does.
<< <i>First I've heard of someone getting a good deal from this seller. Also home of the sheet cut quarter million dollar Bobby Orr RC >>
How do you know it's sheet cut?

They've repeatedly ignored my offers on a couple of Gretzky RCs. Never bought from Martin Sports, but not a big fan at this point.

If it wasn't it would be graded by PSA. Same with a lot of their Gretzky RCs and other OPC rookies that are graded by BGS or KSA. If you ask them if they are sheet cut, they will pretend they don't know what you are talking about or reply with a "Is there anything we can help you with?"

If you plan on attemping to do this and are aware of my terms and understand you are doing so 100% at YOUR RISK than no problem, happy bidding!
