Help with this card being trimmed?

Looking for some help with this Joe Namath rookie. Looking to work a deal with someone on this but am concerned that may it has been trimmed. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Don't want to pull the trigger on this without some expert opinions. Thanks.

Hard to tell from the scan, but the card (despite the stain) has some great eye appeal, is absent the typical tilt and is incredibly well centered for the issue. While there may be evidence of trimming or filing, the border ratios do look accurate. As long as you're not getting hosed on the price (should be in the high PSA 3, low PSA 4 range), I would consider it a worthwhile risk. You're not going to find one centered much better.

Scott thank you for your input. The centering is what really caught my attention. I was hoping it would grade around a 4. The one thing that I could see was the left front edge has a kind of jagged rough edge (like OPC cards) while the right front edge appears to be smooth. When I enlarge the picture on my Iphone and can see the difference. Does anyone know if it is common to have one side rough-cut while the other side is smooth?
  • I would expect it to grade below 4, considering the stain, if you asked for no qualifiers.

    doesn't look trimmed.

However you will get a stain qualifier.

For the price I see it listed at I would definitely pass on it.

Spend just a tad more and get a better psa card
