Question for eBay sellers

I am interested to hear what people think is the ideal time and day to end eBay auctions.

I only end mine when people buy. I don't use auctions, except for rare exceptions. With Buy It Now listings, you have to be patient, but you can get YOUR price. Auctions almost always end way less than what you would want for the item. The exception for me is a rare card that people might fight over. Then, it is to the seller's advantage to auction it. I have one auction going right now hoping bidders will fight over it, but I have 80 something listings using Buy It Now.

Hey Steve. I'm a buyer and try to avoid auctions, but recently have had to play to get some of the cards I want. I've been finding that auctions ending Sunday nights seem to do well.

Just followed a card for week ending on Thursday too. Thought I might get a good price on it, but still put in what seemed like a strong offer, just in case, as I'd been beaten out on Sunday night in 2 other auctions for same card. I got demolished again. I was the 3rd high bidder. More than twice bidder 4, and well over VCP but 1&2 went super nuke and were over 40% higher than my bid. I was blown away.

I'll defer to the sellers as my experience could be the card, but thought I'd share.

No end on Friday/Saturday makes a lot of sense too.

    Good luck.

I've always heard ending on Sunday evenings is one of the better times as well. Only exception to ending on a Friday is early, like 4 or 5 PM before people go out for the night with the thinking if people get paid on Fridays you might find someone with a extra money in their pocket.

I would think with technology such as ebay app the answer to your question may have changed. People can now bid on anything any time of the day from anywhere.
