1990 Topps Doubleheaders

Oh gee can't wait to open the rest of this !

image

The second DoubleHeaders card is a severely double printed and miscut 1990 Larkin with part Tigers card.

Will have to go through the rest of the box later to maybe catch some more valuable deformities.

  • Are these rare? They seem pretty cool.

Wow, those are neat. Are most of those authentic or are some of them reprints like the Nolan Ryan rookie?

They were a test issue. They are not rare. They can be found on feebay.
  • Right.. not seeing any rarity in these as the boxes I got came at I think 8 bucks each image Pretty cool little standup items though. One side has the 1990 card of the player and the other side has the rookie or other earlier card. Pretty cool I think. J I haven't taken one apart yet but I think it's simply a two sided piece of hard paper verse actual cardboard.

The cards are indeed just two sided pieces of paper. Looks like anyone who had a card in 1990 is here

  • Are these standard size?
  • Nope.. in between micro and something like the 75 minis.

So if PSA was grading cut outs of Nolan Ryan from the Sporting News, would they grade the pieces of paper that come out of these holders?

I thought so, but it made me curious image
  • Larkin, glad the deformed Larkin is at a good home image

But what in the ?? Regarding PSA grading these ? These are literally two sided printed pieces of paper. I wonder if they put the 1990 card side or the rookie card side on the front. Heck I will pull some of these out and send them in in the next batch, whenever that may be. Based on the pop report I could quickly become the set registry leader with this image HaHa.

Will send you over some 'unopened' this weekend. Saucy if you want to split one box with Larkin pm over an address to ship to. Just for grins. Unfortunately I have a few more boxes image

I don't know many other homes that would have it as prominently displayed as this one image

Watch out for qualifiers (guessing OC) if submitting, looks like a pretty significant percentage based on the POP. I almost want to submit the Larkin just to see what they would do with it. It's deserving of both a MC and the rare OF.
  • Will let you know when I send the next batch in. You can send that back to me and I'll include it. The card is a MUST for grading. First ever PSA 8 OCOF card.
