I'm baaaaack . . .

You know you've been away from the boards too long when you receive an email from Lord Marcovan saying, "Hey haven't seen you on the boards in a while..." imageimage

Well for anyone who cares I'd like to clarify that my interest in the hobby never waned. I simply needed a break from some personal drama regarding our lovely boards. All is well. My son started walking last week, so he's officially a "toddler" now. And the major Jewish holy days are behind us which means a new year and a clean slate for NewPs image

Welcome back. I take breaks periodically as well. Congrats on your son's walking.

Considering how little I communicate by email and how often I've been a Yeti myself, it is rather funny. image

Glad you're back, even if my semi-spam email didn't totally pan out. image

(Thanks for the payment on the coin you did buy, though- I will ship it later today- Friday)

Glad you're back! I was starting to worry that your namesake monster really was a myth.

    Thanks guys image

Thanks a lot, Brandon for saying so! I will try to snap some fresh photos worthy of posting when I get back home. Currently in Baltimore for the weekend. And ...

not really related to World coins but ... just learned that I am ONE degree of separation from Roger Eliasberg (yes, the son of the famous Louis Eliasberg, the most famous collector of US material of all time) ... very interesting. I have been offered an introduction (to Roger who lives in Baltimore; Louis passed away in 1976). But I am thinking I will decline. It would be neat to hear stories of his father on the hunt for the big fish coins, but I know Roger is not interested in numismatics. So the last thing he probably wants to do is entertain a numismatist fan. I'm sure there have been many over the years, wanting to know about his father. I don't want to be "that guy." It would be different if he were into the hobby himself, and collected, and appreciated his dad's achievements in the field. But that is not the case from all that I've heard. Don't you agree? If only his father were still alive. Meeting Louis Eliasberg ... now that would be awesome!
