Help! Card in PSA 10 holder damaged..What to do

Hey guys.

Got back a PSA 10 card as part of a group sub and when I looked closely at the card, all the corners were bent. It is a pop 1 1981 donruss card that I only submitted because it was perfect..Still probably only a $50 or $60 barring a registry bidding battle…What would you do in this case? Call PSA and ask for compensation? Thanks in advance. Joe

As long as you disclose in the listing that the card has damage on it, there could still be a market for it. A lot of people buying the holder not the card, which is especially true with "The Registry"

I don't know how much PSA'd consider the value on a card like this? I would think they'd give you a couple grading vouchers, as has been my past experience.

Hate when this sort of thing happens, but we're human and when grading that many cards it's bound to happen from time to time.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for your input. I'm leaning toward sending it back to PSA, but how do you figure out compensation for a pop 1? …If they offer me vouchers, I can't really use them as I'm not a member anymore(I was for 12 years). Any other input would be appreciated. Joe

The first card I got in the new holders I though all 4 corners were bent. When I examined it closely I could tell the plastic on the new holders
gave the appearance of a bend at the corners. Probably not what you are experiencing but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Any chance you could post a picture of the damaged PSA 10?
