DNICE's Card Show Photos (Oct 2014)

Hi Everyone,

Just came back from attending a card show. I really didn't get much as I am trying to save my money for a big purchase but I did manage to get a 90's card that was pretty popular for much all of the 1990's along with 2 Auto cards of players that I really enjoy watching today. I also happened to run into Mark (MDUBE19) from off the boards and I had the pleasure of chatting with him for a bit. I wont try to bore you guys with all the writing so I'll just go straight to the photos.

Very nice! Did any of the dealers or the promoter have any issues with you taking pictures? Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff. My favorites were the shelves full of starter sets and full sets. And also the signed 1969 Whitey Ford.

Thanx for sharing Marc - the 90L Thomas was a favorite of mine back in the day.

This pic exemplifies shows that flourished all over the landscape in the early 90s. They were packed with buyers and there was always excitement in the air.

  • Sumo - I am a regular at these things so everyone is pretty familiar with me. They don't have an issue. If I don't know the dealer, i'll politely ask and I usually tell them why I man taking them and where I will be posting them on to. It's no biggie. It's not like these are top secret documents or anything image

Mike - I was only 10 when that Frank Thomas card came out. Also, I didn't attend many cards shows unfortunately back then. I lived vicariously through Beckett magazine when I would read stories about card shows so I personally don't remember/know how they were in their prime.

Great to see you too Marc!

to hijack the thread, here is a link to the 5 boxes of Immaculate baseball I opened.

The Arod button is about a $200 card. Also the Griffey auto should bring nice money (redemption)

Good Stuff Marc, Did you buy the three auto cards you showed? Yelich, Reddick and Big Hurt? I liked that Hurt card.

  • Matt,

I only purchased the Yelich, the Reddick and the PSA 10 Thomas 90 Leaf. The other one that you are referring to, I believe the dealer was asking $100 for it. I thought it was a nice card and so I took a picture of it.
