Ten years ago, a card shop owner in the Midwest told a woman the old cards she was showing him were probably reprints, but luckily, she hung onto them.

    "Yeah, they're probably reprints. I'll take them off your hands for $50."

    Wow. Good for her for hanging on to them. It's not often that someone who thinks that they have gold instead of reprints turns out to be actually correct.

    Man, that Ruth card alone is going to bring six figures-- centered and no print line is RARE for that card.

    That is hands-down one of the best copies in the hobby now, no matter what the number says. Sevens have worse centering and the line.

    Is the auction house doing that thing where they offer both the set as a whole and as singles and going with the highest price of the two?

    they'd be fools to. That format takes out so many potential bidders.
