real or fake?

I am own a "brick and mortar" store in upstate NY - I looking for a way to get some deeper knowledge of ancients - I will browse the previous posts for a resources/books discussion.. I think this is a fake/reproduce, but wanted to get the groups thought.

    I believe you are correct in your assessment, and it's a replica Peruvian 8 reales. Looks like it had some gold plating which largely came off.

    Common to find fake ones. Real ones are gold and quite valuable.
