Show find-1747 Half Penny- Help Needed Identifying

This was one of the coins I picked up at the Big Flea Market show at Pier 94 on Sat. in NYC. Not my area of expertise but couldn't pass on it for $3. I was wondering if it was a contemporary counterfeit or just a corroded authentic piece. It has raised pitting I was thinking cast but could that be from corrosion? It seems there were imitation pieces made during that period. Thanks in advance.

Most likely a dug genuine coin. At $3.00 you didn't exactly rip it. George II, K-M #579.2. Extremely common in condition below European standards VF.
