question for members

ok, I have contacted ebay 3 times about the guy charging me $30+ for shipping and is breaking there rules, they havent responded to any of the 3, and now i cant send another message to them because the auctions are already under investigation, even though they arent doing anything. WHAT CAN I DO??? PLEASE HELP!!

  • i wouldnt pay 30 dollars shipping if you have real good feedback i wouldnt sent payment to him and get a negative feedback because that is crazy payong $30 for shipping when it will cost him probably $5 max.or ask him to send in all different packages and after you get hit him up with alot of negatives.

Ok heres what Iwould do. First figure out what it weighs and go to post office and ask htem how much it would cost to send a package that weighs your amount plus insurance for what it is worth. If they are pretty far away then It is against ebay's rules to collect payments b y excessive sh but I would pay. dont leave him feedback untiil he does for you. Then neg him. If you are really mad create a new ebay Id and bid on some more of his stuff to see if he charges you excessively again. If he does neg him for every auction. I mean if the guy is going to break the rules and ebay doesn't do anything about it I wouldn't worry about doing what I said. Just a way to keep your name if you didn't do a anything wrong. Also list the auction here.

  • i won 12 auctions, total was about 30 cards. he emailed me saying he did it to make a "tiny bit on shipping". which the tiny bit is like $20-$30, (cost of shipping was $3 apiece, so $36 for all 12) I wouldnt even pay $36 for the cards, their were a few nice ones, but overall it wasnt worth $36 even.

here is a link to the guys auctions,

(ps, my account is flawless except for 2 things, I got a non-paying bidder on a guy that i gave negative to because he never sent cards, and a non-paying bidder on another guy(i sent payment a little late, and he sent it back saying he already resold it, and then left me a non-paying bidder alert)

Well if he states that the shipping is $3 then make him send them all individual. You do have the right to do that. Also he does have the right to charge handling. If he sends insured it costs $1.67 for one card without supplies such as hard cases and envelopes. TI isn't against the rules to charge handling. So if he sends individual send him the money.

  • heres the link
    Link

and it is against ebay rules to start auction low, and overcharge shipping, its called fee circumnavigation, and he stated he did it to make more money, which again is against their rules.

If he sends securely then $3 per lot isn't overcharging as long as he sends them individually. Continue to contact ebay and tell him that you will neg him for all 12 unless he either sends individually or charges $12 for handling plus what shipping it. That would be fair to both.
