This bank note engraving was printed from a steel plate on a 19th century, hand operated intaglio spider press. The "Eagle on Shield" vignette was engraved by Robert Savage in 1898. Records show that this engraving was used on one coupon bond (State of Rhode Island) and four stock certificates, Kidder Peabody Acceptance Corp., New England Cotton Yarn Co., American Pneumatic Services, and U.S. Reduction & Refining Co..

Centry old intaglio plate printing craftsmanship and techniques were used to produce the unique beauty, intricate detail and three dimensional features of this hand engraved image.

A limited edition of 100 prints were numbered, dated, and signed. Michael Bean * Plate Printer.
