In Honor of Jeter's Last Home Game; Post What You Have!

This would be my only contribution, but it's a neat one IMO. Someone from Ripken Baseball found these two cards left over from a batch of cards from a 2007 Upper Deck Double Play insert issue that were sent there for Cal to sign (Jeter had already signed). I love the "proof" card with the hole puch & the hand written "sign here" notation, which is a cool inside look on how these projects are accomplished (I also have the marker that was sent by UD that they wanted Cal to use):

I'll never pass up an opportunity to show off this one (though I own it for one of the players on the other side):

    Olbermann rant on Jeter

Is Olbermann trying to drive down prices so he can corner the market?

In my opinion, a last ditch attempt by Olbermann to try to be relevant. Like Jeter, his best days are behind him. He is old news and should stick to doing what he does the best, bashing the right and collecting really old cards of people long since forgotten ( like himself).

Thanks, do you think PSA would slab the "proof card?"

They don't grade or even authenticate proofs. But my understanding is you can get just about anything slabbed, like your son's little league card if you want. So I don't see why they wouldn't encapsulate the proof under that service.

Pulled this one from a pack and it's one of the cards that will never leave the collection. Especially poignant this year.

Here's mine, not much. The auto baseball was in person in March of 1996 before the start of his rookie season. It was Yankee day at the Tampa Fairgrounds and the funny thing is there was no one in Jeter's line. They all came to see Dwight Gooden, Wade Boggs, Paul O'Neil, Tino Martinez and Reggie Jackson. I said to my buddy I think this Jeter kid is going to be a pretty decent player.

That is an absolutely beautiful dual autographed card Yankees Man. What year and set is it from?

+1 that's incredible Nathan! Great condition even vs other pack pulled autos. Two of the all time greatest hitters and also 2 of the nicest, classiest men to ever play the game.

Question: the 1993 UD gold holograms.... were they pack pulled, or from factory sets, or what?

One factory set per case (15 sets per case) was gold holo'd.

I think Jeter passed Gwynn for doubles with his first hit tonight. Nice card.

    He did indeed.

I don't have any Jeter autos or any cards as cool as most of what's been posted here, but this is my best Jeter item. 07 Topps variation with GW and The Mick. Rarer parallel with red writing on back.
