Saw this post this morning and found myself agreeing with a lot of it.
GDP= WASTE

I find Money Velocity to be a better indicator of economic growth. Unfortunately our economy is currently shrinking.

I think what he is suggesting is that a lot of what is being measured is pointless economic activity. If you remove busy work or make work somehow then the numbers would be truly horrible.

I think all the debt is allso added to the GDP. Why, you ask? The more you spend the more you make! What a great deal!
