Mike Kelley News Article from TODAY (Tuesday 9/23/2014)

Spoke to the reporter yesterday at the request of Mike's mom to help raise awareness of this in the local NH community. Passed on some of the links from our board and the digital SMR article. Asked they they keep the focus squarely on the family. Thus us what they wrote:

Does anyone know what happened to Mike's collection?

He got 100k from his wife's life insurance policy prior to her passing and put it into cards.

I would think this could be a source of funds for the kids and his parents.

Much was sold over the past 2-3 years. I am working with Mike's mom to see what can be generated from what remains. From what I had heard from Mike not much was left.

Once I get a full inventory I'll try to get a more accurate answer for you

I didn't know he lived in Londonderry, NH. That's only about an hour from me.

At one point he had some very serious cards. I recall him buying an Aaron PSA 8 rookie in the $6,500 range. He had indicated they were for his kids future so hopefully a few were tucked away.

Mike seemed like a very smart guy so hopefully he had a insurance policy also . After my first was born it was the first thing I did.

hopefully it was all set up right as well, ie trust for liability & tax purposes. just had our first born 2 months ago and went thru the entire process. already had wills and trusts done, but having to re-write wills, change policy, set up llcs for all the property and the entire process was just an absolute nightmare. don't get me wrong, I'm glad its finally done and set up right, but I can say with 100% certainty that a. still not sure I comprehend it all and b. I never want to go through it again.

hopefully mike did most of this, especially the life insurance part and the kids should be just fine. financially wise. losing both parents is and will always be tough no matter how much money is left...

If the Aaron is available for sale I would be interested in paying VCP to avoid fees and help the children out.

Dave, that's a really nice article; kudos for your contributions in there. Hearing the positive impact a recently deceased loved one had has to be about the best thing you can hear during the initial grieving period.
