English errors

I am going to be looking at some English error coins next week. I don't know if they are all from Great Britain or from the Commonwealth. Are there any particular good ones that I should be on the look out for? I have thousands of English but I don't remember having any errors. Thanks for any info.

The errors to look for in my book would be: off center , double struck,
brockage and overdates. I am sure there are others but these are my favorites.
BTW off metal coins are very collectible as well.

I went to see the coins today-the guy didn't bring much to the table. Only one error--1816/1818. This is what the label said. I don't see it though. It is an 1816 waterloo half penny irish token. Most of the letters are readable. Did pick up however a 1946 and 1949 three pence in vf each. He is suppose to bring some stuff next week so hopefully he has some better stuff to look at.

Goodness no, sorry he didn't have better. By far the best are the BBITANNIAR coins of 1858 ( & some earlier dates of that as well) or the famous RRITANNIAR 1868 3d or the even more valuable (in uncirc) 1878 DRITANNIAR 6 pence........

Thanks for the info so far. Is there a book printed for these errors? Or is there a site such as the collectors universe?

Well, the Spink guide on a yearly basis lists these, but sometimes just with a notation of "Extremely Rare" or some such...
