NFL teams are fragile but who has the best overall balance??

Most NFL teams have an over-dependence on a few key players, typically on offense more than defense. It's peculiar how a lineman(offense/defense) can go down and a suitable replacement can fill his spot, even a linebacker can be worked around. Things change dramatically on defense when the top corners get hurt and a running back/receiver is the same. With QB a key injury can be devastating and end a Team's season. That's where overall balance is vital. What Team(s) do you think could withstand a season ending injury to a key player or two and still make the playoffs??

I'm thinking the Eagles to be honest (which kills me because I'm a Redskins fan). They really don't have anyone elite (other than McCoy), but they have so many above average players I think they could get by without one (ie. DeSean Jackson).

The weakest link is the WR Corps in my opinion, however with Brady it off sets itself.
perhaps the most "stable" Teams are the ones who are missing a key player because he can turn a 6-10 record around to 10-6, and that means playoffs.
<< <i>so if the receivers are suspect what happens when Brady(the "offset" you mentioned) goes down?? this is what I was hoping to discuss, that most Teams are so fragile that when a single key player goes down it may be too much to overcome. perhaps one of the most fragile this season is Pittsburgh: given the number of injuries BB has suffered if he has another the year is lost for the Steelers. the same goes for several other Teams.

Watching the pats game last week I'm saying to myself why don't these idiots pull Brady and let the new guy play? I was also wondering why they bothered to dress Amendola when he doesn't have a part in the offense? If they don't shore up the offensive line Brady will go down at some point

We already know what would happened, because it has happened. In 2008 when Brady went down, the Pats tied for 1st in the division and only missed the playoff due to tie breakers, and with a back up QB that barely had a couple dozen snaps in the NFL.
I think the Pats are the most balanced team in the NFL seeing the always win, make the Playoffs and have gone to a few conference finals it seems no matter who they lose personnel wise - players and coaches.

That was six years ago.
The 2014 Patriots are nothing like their former self. If Tom Brady goes down, the Patriots go down.

The 2014 Pats have former Junior college tuba players on the O-line Brady will go down . Bellechek needs to fire himself as a GM . Cut Mankins loose a week before the season starts brilliant move .
