Anyone going to the card show in Fairfax, VA this weekend? Haven't been to it before and looking forward to a local show!

Had I known about this earlier I'd have made plans to attend as I, too, haven't been to a show in years (about 15 years here). I see they have a show for November 15th. I'll make plans now to attend that one. If you or any other board members are planning to attend the November 15th show, let me know!

The Chantilly show, which is short drive from Fairfax, is many times bigger and has much more inventory and out of town dealers. The next show is October 10 - 12 with free admission on Friday.

I'll be at Chantilly too. It's only a couple of miles from my house. Will let you know how this weekend show is. Know it will be small, but sometimes those are just as good.

Spent about an hour here this morning. A great show for it's size (about 12-15 dealers) and it had a nice mix of vintage and new stuff with a good assortment of boxes to look through. There seemed to be a healthy number of people there buying and all the dealers I talked to were there to have a good time and actually were very engaging. Dennis (show organizer and promoter) was extremely nice and he let me snap these photos.








I bought 4 1951 Bowman BB commons for my set and was close to getting a few boxes of junk wax from the late 80s and early 90s. I felt the prices were extremely reasonable and the dealers willing to negotiate. One dealer had some nice graded packs and I spent the most amount of time with the dealers carrying vintage.

I am pretty sure I used to attend a show there back in the late 80's!
The carpet is the same.

I may try to make it to the next show there. The Chantilly Expo show is usually the only one I make it to, and lately, only every year or so.
