Last year I sold off my PSA 8+ vintage Maravich collection after hitting a rough patch. This card, and the 71 Topps, are 2 of my favorite vintage Maravich cards which I knew I had to have again. At first I was going to buy a couple PSA 9s and call it a day, but the more I read the forum here the more I realized that the number on the flip isn't the "be all, end all" when it comes to card collecting. Now when I look at a card, the flip is one of the last things I look at. Even though this card has the same grade as my first copy that was graded by PSA the centering is much better, and this one doesn't have a rough left edge like my PSA graded copy did. This is the first SGC graded card I've had and it's got some scratches in a few spots, so maybe I'll crack it out, and submit to PSA one of these days, but it's not a priority. For now I'm just going to enjoy the card as is.
