Canadian .925 silver dollar

at least according to this eBay auction. auction. I tried to send the seller a message to tell them the coin is only .500 silver, but they don't accept questions. Actually they say the coin is 925% silver. That would be a nice trick.

    I know I have one Canadian proof dollar that is .999 silver and they made some in .925 too. I believe the mint up there is brain damaged. Maybe it's contagious and the seller was paging through a krause book of Canadian coins and lost some IQ points.

    It can happen , I think I lost about 10 myself the first time I tried to figure out why they made a $180 coin or was it $350?

    well guys, after all, they are experts as Jewelers...
    and they should know the difference between .925 % and 925 % ...right???
    Personally I think it is simply a typo.. but who knows?

    but, I have never seen a year where they made a .9999 and a .925 of the same year and the same item.
    what year was it ???

    The .999 dollar I have is 2003 and it isn't an ounce either its like .89 oz Centennial of Cobalt mining image

    I sold a 2010 that was .925 on ebay, at around 3/4 of a troy oz. That was the 75th anniversary of the Canadian silver dollar.



    It may be they are all the same size but the different purities account for the random amounts of silver.

    Actually I have purchased bullion from these guys before and as I recall it was a lot of Britannias that included a few late 90's dates that they had up as a buy now at only a few bucks over spot.

    From the pic it looks like they don't know how to set the white balance on their camera. This 1971 might have some nice color hiding under that finger printimage Do they have any other foam case .500 dollars listed?

    Don, the seller might have you on his blocked list. perhaps at some earlier date you asked him an uncomfortable question?
    there are some when you ask a question they do not appreciate or like.... wooooom , blocked you are.
    happened to me when I pointed out that his claim of a grade of MS63 and higher is probably a typo. not just bidding is blocked, also contact is blocked.
    some are like that
    I wish there was a site were one can list and expose guys like that just to warn others.
