Mr. Banks is in the house

Great mail day. A BST purchase, a package from BBCE, and Mr. Banks.

I guess I like me some 4s as most of my 50s RCs are in 4 holders, but I love em all.

Really liked the fact that the 3 visible borders are pretty equal.

Still need my Kaline.

Love the card; fantastic eye. Just went shopping for my first one recently and it was all about the visible borders being equal thickness. Tough card to find in that state.

I bought a 4 Banks rc as well. Seems like there's some nice looking 4's out there....and like you said finding one with the visible corners is worth it in his rc year.

It's funny cuz I used to avoid fishing in the 4 waters. In many cases I wouldn't even shop there. But budget forced me to start looking there for some of the bigger cards and in no small part to many of your threads displaying cards that trump many of a higher grade. So many 7/8s while sharp, can be spendy and in many cases have centering that's tough to stomach for the price, when compared to a well-centered, evenly worn/well loved card at a fraction of the cost. A nice RC that I can be happy to add to my PC, at a budget friendly price, always makes for a good day.

  • Congrats on a great pickup! We might be cornering the market on Banks' 4's as I just got one in the mail a week ago. Good luck on the hunt for the Kaline! Keep posting pics as you go because I for one like the pickup threads the most.

Plus you know it hasn't been doctored, which is another good thing for peace of mind.
