Finally after 80 Months

After 80 months and on this special day, I can finally say Mission Complete. Today ended one of the longest quest I have ever endeavored. The final card for my 1991 Topps Desert Shield set. Thanks Lee!! It started out as a reminder for me of all my fellow service brothers and sisters from the first Gulf War. Then as the post 9/11 deployments continued to mount it became therapy to help me readjust. Later it became a way for me to explain to my son how the Army has made so many inpacts on our lives. Though the mision is complete, I will still strive to improve it until I am offically retired. Then I will be able to walk away. For all those who have helped me in this quest I say "THANK YOU!"

Currently collecting 1934 Butterfinger, 1969 Nabisco, 1991 Topps Desert Shield (in PSA 9 or 10), and 1990 Donruss Learning Series (in PSA 10).

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

What a great story and a great accomplishment!
Congrats on finishing what appears to be an extremely difficult set to put together and also for your service and sacrifice to our country.
    I thank you.

    TNP,

The final card was 210 Lance Parrish. I have one that I am submitting and hoping for an upgrade.

To my fellow board members, thanks for all the kind words. Less than one percent of our country service in the military and it truly is a privilege to serve the people of the greatest country on earth.

    Aaron,

Thanks for the help you gave me incompleting this set. I have created a second set to show the additonal cards that some of the other collectors of the set may need. If there are any listed that you need let me know. I am sure we can help your set get completed.

Congrats!! I've always had an interest in that set, and over the years I've acquired most of the stars/HOF. I've been looking for a new project lately. I might give it a try.
