Why isn't there a 10 (OC) Grade?

Seems like 10 (OC) makes as much sense as 9 (OC)....a card that would be a 10 except for the centering being off.

    There is 8. 10oc = 8

    What does that mean? 9 (OC) is 7, but there's still a 9 (OC).

    I think it's to limit the number of threads on here complaining about eBay sellers who don't list qualifiers in their titles.

    Can you get a qualifier on a PSA 1 or 2 (turning it into a negative grade or zero)?

    According to their grading standards, apparently a 1.5 is the lowest grade card that could also be OC.

    I searched ebay, and the lowest OC card I found was PSA 5 OC.

    Lol ... yes you can. I always wondered how that would work on THE REGISTRY, although I realize nobody would list a PSA 1 MK in their Registry. BTW, there was a thread on here a while ago showing a card that graded "PSA 1 MK".

    I must have missed that thread, guessing it was graded as a joke or for some sentimental reason. I wonder if adding it to the registry would actually register it as a negative grade.

    Maybe the qualifier for a 10 should be:

    10 (4SC)???

    You don't get a negative in the registry. The 1(MK) counts as a 1.

    9Q = -2
    8Q = -2
    7Q = -2
    6Q = -2
    5Q = -2
    4Q = -2
    3Q = -1
    2Q = -1
    1Q & 1.5Q = no deduction

    It was, in fact, a goof.

    In fact, my favorite part of that card is they boldly wrote "MK" on the back of it. image

    I forget which of our CU scamps was responsible. I only wish we could have seen the grader's expression as that slid across their desk.
