1967 Ford LTD. My brother and I each paid $12.50 for the car. Yep. $25.00 got us a blue, tan, black (and several other colors) Ford LTD held together by rust. The radio was ok until I hit a pothole which must have knocked together two loose wires and boy that system sounded great.........until I hit another pothole.

1985 Cutlass Supreme. T Tops. American Racing Rims. Burgundy with a faded hood. $1,300 purchase price with more spent on repairs.

Best feature were the reclining seats!

'72 Pinto. Still the most reliable car I ever had, I could get 4 people in the car with surfboards on top and still do 80 down the freeway. If my brother hadn't totaled it at 120k miles it'd probably still be running.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

My first car was a 1981 Accord 4 door. When it died, and before I could get a new car, I drove my dad's pinto over the Summer- not very fun for a just-graduated 18 year old to drive a peach colored pinto around town.

1986 Renault Alliance- the one to watch.
Bought in 89 at age 17 for $1400.

I watched it alright. Fall completely apart, I mean completely, in 3 years.

  • '86 Ford Taurus. Started driving it in high school, then once in college it was the road trip car of choice. After that was a 1998 Contour. It was a good little car that I bought cheap from a neighbor who got too old to drive. Then I bought what I'm driving now...2004 Mitsubishi Galant. Starting to rust and wondering when I'll have to get something else and start making car payments again.
  • My first car was a completely restored 1968 Dodge Charger, 383/automatic. My dad bought it for me the summer of 1988, almost a year before I got my drivers license.

wrong. the common website security question is "make" or "model" of your 1st car.

and besides, no where in those "security questions" does it state that you have to tell exactly what your make was of your first car or even respond w/ a car at all. a smart man, would enter the word "yatzee" or "spoon" as his answer. that way the answer is something that only YOU know.

    but thanks captain buzzkill.

1974 Chevy Chevelle. Sorry, not the SS. Bought it from a little old lady (dont ask me why a little old lady needed a V8 big block) and the engine wasnt even broken in. Exterior was not the best of shape but I only paid $650 for it. Even though it wasnt the SS, I could blow away just about anyone.

1983 Oldsmobile Firenza - blue on blue. Real chick magnet. Fortunately, about a year later a lady totalled it and no one was hurt but with insurance money got a 1980 Camaro that I would love to have back.

1988 Chevy Beretta GT. With the Corvette suspension. Graduated that year, and even though my Dad had passed away 2 years earlier my Mom kept his promise of buying me a new car after graduation. Any thought as to why I try to do as much as I can for my Mom at this time(she's 81 now), is answered by that, and what she did to make sure I got a college education. Could never be repaid properly...

A functionally-challenged ride, but the back seat always seemed to work properly. image Less than a year after my folks bought me that veritable chick magnet, $250 in damages were incurred.

    Someone stole my car.
