Bittersweet mailday

Finished my last 2 in progress sets with a mailday earlier this week. Both took a few years to complete due to availablility of the appropriate items, even though only ~10 items each.
Now I have no in-progress sets and no idea what to focus on next. Its a sad, empty feeling. It definitely feels like the fun is in the chase and success, and less in enjoying the actual completed set. Need to resist the urge to buy for the sake of buying, and hope an inspiring project strikes me soon.
Not looking for ideas, just sympathy.

Kinda like that girl who finally agrees to go out with ya!
My deepest condolences to you. LOL

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>Definitely agree the thrill is in the chase. What were the sets? >>
Both were non-sport autograph sets. One was an all custom signature set (Back to the Future), so I needed signatures capable of fitting on a standard card with enough room for a design (not always as easy as you'd think), the other was Main Cast 1977 Topps Stars autos, most were on-card, except for a few dead or pricey guys.
I have drifted away from sports cards over the years. Too much loss on my favorite teams young stars leaving the team or fading out of the league quickly. And I can't afford the vintage stuff I'd enjoy to collect.
