Modern Vintage Football Box Breaks

To get the board back to card talk I'm going to start a Modern Vintage Football Box Break. My focus is to find football boxes that are at least 5 years old and have interesting inserts or autos, basically anything from 1994-2009. I'll try to do it at least once a week during the football season, if there seems to be interest. I'll also add some thoughts from my hobby experiences from that year.
First up 2002 Topps Gallery Football Hobby Box. I got this box for $30 at a local card show. This was Topps' answer to the popular Gridiron Kings that Donruss had released. It had some interesting inserts - Gallery Autographs (1:94 packs), Heritage Relics (1:99 packs), Originals Relics (1:66 packs), Autographs Artists Proofs (1:550 packs), Team Topps Legends (1:495 packs). Overall you were guaranteed an auto or relic per box.
2002 was a glorious year for a Lions fan like me. The Lions had just gone 2-14 to secure yet another top 3 draft pick. With the Texans taking David Carr and Caroline set on Julius Peppers, the Lions were locked in on Joey Harrington. Finally we had a franchise QB! Matt Millen is a genius! Needless to say it all ended very badly.
Let's see how this break goes.....
After some technical issues, here are the scans. I beat the odds and got 2 jersey cards. The cards are on thick stock and have heavy gloss. The "art" design is rather plain compared to Gridiron Kings, I'm not surprised there was no 2003 Gallery Football. The collation was good with very few duplicates, I think I got 80% of the base set. It's still hard to believe the best QB from that class is Josh McCown.
