Is this for real? Or what is it? Chile 1869 1 Peso

this is part of a south America "collection" I purchased. the sellers great gran father owned a mine in Bolivia and also had business then in Chile.
these coins were stored in the ladies attic until she literally by chance opened the box....
this coin is actually mounted "loose" in a setting of its own. the item is not damaged at all the way it is mounted.
Has anyone any Idea what it is and perhaps its value? the setting appears to be gold and the coin weighs 21. 23 grams.
the actual coins metal body also appears to be gold.
the hole item is in a leather covered and blue lined box with a push button lock.
any help is much appreciated.

It appears to be an enameled 1869 Chilean Peso, although I suppose one could enamel any smoothed-out coin in a similar manner. In any event, it's perfectly collectable and probably worth north of $75 or so.
