Silver coin question?

tneigtneig Posts: 1,505 ✭✭✭
I got these for five bucks and when I got home I looked up the half and the 2013 Red Book gives
a G-4 a $30 value. Now I know this half is worn, and has an H scratched into the surface, but
do you think it still retains some extra value over silver? I would think some, if there was a buyer...
PS, A guy found these in a wall when redoing a house. There more halfs I'll be attempting to buy from him.

No premium on that half at all. Junk 90% would be the price on it to me. $5 for all is good, get as much of that as you can.

If you can buy 80¢ face of 90% for $5, like DrBuster said, buy all you can.

Edited to answer your question: No, no premium over bullion value on the PMD half.

The half contains $6.85 in silver content and the dimes contain $1.37 ea. in silver. You can resell them for at least that much.
