    As annoying as he is he does bring life to the sports talk forum, I actually get a kick out of most of his banter. There was nothing like an epic batte between him and stown!

    I miss the guy. Let's face it, he invigorates this place. Circumspect he'll never be, but there's no denying his passion for sports. We locked horns a fair share of times and he ultimately called me a number of things that my girlfriend wrote down for future reference, but I personally found the smoke from an Ax-bomb to be relatively innocuous. I'd gladly handle the extracurricular stuff in exchange for his ubiquitous presence.

    Besides, have you ever hit up the archives and seen him in action from a decade ago? Dude was practically tame under the 1985fan handle by comparison.

    In before the inevitable poof. Let's see which rules are on the critical list here; I count 3...

    Rule 3) Anyone attacking another poster or making disparaging personal remarks will no longer be allowed to post. No more warnings.

    Rule 5) If you have nothing to contribute to a thread or the forum as a whole, then do not post. Snide remarks and other negative comments will result in your losing your ability to post. No more warnings.

    Rule 6) This forum is about collecting trading cards and/or memorabilia. If your post is not directly related to trading cards and/or memorabilia, then this is the wrong forum. Do not post it or your posting privileges may be removed.

    I'll certainly say that I wasn't a fan of the guy but rubbing someone's nose in it, especially when they're unable to respond, is kind of a no-class move imo. He's gone, why not let it go. Just saying.

    I'm really not invested in this topic enough to argue it, so this will be my last post on this thread.

    If the rules didn't apply to the sports talk forum, then they wouldn't have been posted at the top of it.

    And I guess I'm missing all the sports talk. 6 of the first 7 posts have no sports talk whatsoever; they're all about the poster in question. The 7th mentions a team name but only in passing, and in the context of how the person in question denigrated it.

    So to say there are sports talk related posts here is, to be kind, a stretch.

    Just saying. Carry on.

    People are making disparaging remarks about Tony Romo and Ray Rice in the Sports Talk Forum. They, like our dear departed Axtell, are not members here, either.
